Years in the making, at its crux my first album is concerned with the process of growing up. Exploring such themes as love, loss, depression, ancestry and friendship, the album marks my impulse to move as an artist and writer from the more whimsical, fun songs I have released thus far, that often centred my relationships with others, towards brutal introspection and vulnerability in which I bring my own life and sense of selfhood under the microscope.
